Judging by the volume of amateur shooters here purchasing professional equipment (D3), I'd say we've reached an all time ratio of ameaturs stepping up for big ticket cameras this yr. When the D2H and D2X models were released, far fewer were buyers, primarily Pro's for the most part.

Interesting shift on the demand side. On the down side, the Pros have moved on. This used to be a Pro quality forum.
