I dumped the A720 Firmware and I've already done some research. Actually the software itself is pretty much the same.

The S5 and A720 have DRYOS and the G9 as well as the A650 have something in common with those - the missing "Firm Update" menu entry. Probably they're DRYOS-cams as well.

I think you are. As already stated the new firmware shares quite a lot with the old one. That means that, once boot process is accomplished, the existing source should be quite usable.

It's the boot process itself that is the problem right now. Unfortunately I'm very short on time until the end of the month but other people seem to be working on it as well.

I expect that we'll have some proof of concept by mid January (that's just a guess, of course).
