SD card SHORTENS Battery life in C875
Dec 1, 2007

I just got my C875 back from Kodak repair. Same problem. Precision Camera, who repaired it blames it on the batteries. They say I need to use Lithium batteries. This was not an issue when I bought the camera. It seems when I have the 1 gig SD card in the camera I get about 10 to 15 (with flash) shots (fresh Kodak rechargeable) and then the camera shuts down as if the batteries were dead. When I take out the SD card (I have tried 2 different name brand cards) I took over 170 shots (with flash) on a fresh set of Kodak batteries. I would take 17shots and then delete, then 17 shots then delete. Did this 10 times.

The camera took way more shots when it was new. The C875 is still under warranty. Has anyone had this type of problem? What is the volt range the C875 should operate under? When the camera shuts down, the batteries show 1.28 volts.

Thanks in advance
