A700 Glass Dilemma

Opinions please: 18-250mm or CZ16-80
I have been trying to decide between these two lenses for my A700
To what extent is the IQ differential between the two lenses in the 18-80mm range?
I would expect IQ of the 18-250 to fall off too some degree as it nears the long end but the extra coverage is appealing.
