12' notebook to 22" LCD ok ?

Hi guys need some advice here.
Can HP Pavilion tx1000z series notebook connect to Dell’s new SP2208WFP to do a decent photo editing job?
I’m no pro so the small tx1000z will serve two purposes as my mobile work station and also a home PC. The 22” LCD will be use at home for more on photo editing. On a budget here so please advice on the good and the bad!
