Anyone still using a Pro 1?

One of my kids just bought one online and says it's pretty horrid.

I don't have any experience with the camera myself and don't know what to tell her. Could be she got a bad one. Or...is the camera "horrid?"

Is the noise, for example, much worse than others of its kind?

I've done some research. Some users and reviewers say the noise levels are unacceptable, others say it's pretty much in line with other small sensor cameras. My own impression is that Canon limited the NR on this one for the sake of retaining detail ... but I really don't know if that's the case.

She lives 3,000 miles away, so until she sends me the camera, I thought I'd make an inquiry here. Thanks...
