Canon 70-300mm IS & Kenko Pro 300 DG 1.4 / 2.0 TC test

This is a test I did last week

All the pics were take with Canon 30D – 70-300mm IS (the first with 50mm 1.4) – f/8 – Av – ISO 200 - tripod – MLU – self-timer – 1.4 & 2.0 Kenko Pro 300DG TC – RAW converted with RSP

This is the area at 50mm full size

300mm full

In this group of four 100% crops I used:
300 x 100%
300+1.4TC x 71%
300+2.0TC x 50%
300+1.4+2.0TC x 36%

===========================================

420mm full

In the next four 100% crops I used:
300 x 140%

300+1.4TC x 100%

300+2.0TC x 71%

300+1.4+2.0TC x 50%

===========================================

600mm full

In the next four 100% crops I used:
300 x 200%

300+1.4TC x 143%

300+2.0TC x 100%

300+1.4+2.0TC x 71%

==========================================

and 840mm full

In the next four 100% crops I used:
300 x 280%

300+1.4TC x 200%

300+2.0TC x 140%

and finally...300+1.4+2.0TC x 100%

My conclusions:

I think that the 300mm+1.4 TC is better than 300mm resampled to 420mm.
In the same way, 300mm+2.0 TC is better than 300+1.4mm resampled to 600mm

The 2.0xTC gives a pretty decent results, even when "pushed up" 140%. You could read "Brasil" at the left part (2 pics above).
To use 1.4 & 2.0 stacked is definitely “wasting your time”.

Thanks to see and I'm sorry for so many pics, but I'd like to check and to share with you all the possibilities.

All coments are welcome.
