I fully agree with you in normal life both camera's deliver equal results. A well experianced user gets by using the right settings similar JPEGs, so there's no real problem with the K10 I think. It's a great camera for an attractive price.

What I don't understand is why Pentax did not made it's standard settings on the K10 as they did on their K100 and most manufactors do on their DSLR's. Pentax should know the impact from posts from pixel-peeping testers as Phil and their erected crops on your screens. Often it's not the immage that counts but the immagination.....

When you gonna spend $1000 or so you buy the camera that seems to produce the sharpest shots.

Is that the reason why the K10 is so succesfull in non-english speaking countries as Japan for instance? Perhaps most Japanese don't read dpreview......
