Contax lenses on Canon Bodies

Hello,

I was wondering about Contax lenses on Canon bodies.

1. Adapter - I have heard there is some kind of adapter. Is there a prefered adapter to use?

2. Stop down metering. How difficult is this? Can it be mastered pretty easily?

3. Have you noticed that much of a difference in terms of superior optical performance when compared to simialr Canon offerings?

I am interested in Distagon primes and the Contax Zeiss 35-70 for landscape work primarily. So quick auto focus is not really an issue for my intended use.
