Best Photo style for 40D RAW shooting previews?

In one of this month's photo mags, the author talked about shooting to the right and comparing "actual" results with the in-camera histogram.
He determined that the photo styles and custom settings adjustments that you could make affected the JPG preview image and resulting histogram, highlights warnings, etc.
Can anyone substantiate this on the 40D? If it's true, what is the "best" setting to use if you are a STTR shooter? I've been using Faithful, but I now think that may not be right.
Ideas?
