Extreme Beginner's Shots - criticism is very welcome :o)

Hello everyone

I know my photos are NOWHERE near all the beautiful pictures on this forum, but anyway, I thought I'd show some of my first "real" (or not real, haha) shots. I've bought Nikon D40 with 18-55mm lens a while ago as my first, ever, DLSR camera. I am very new to photography and just beginning to learn. Any criticism is very welcome.
