What calibrators should I consider?
Sep 5, 2007

I have a laptop and desktop and the screens look totally different when it comes to color. Plus, I'll be printing out photos using a service soon (not sure if it'll be Ritz or MPix or what yet, so feel free to suggest those too), so I'll need to make sure my photos' colors are correct.

I'm not sure as to which monitor calibrators are considered good. I just know I don't want to spend a fortune, so something cheap an decent is what I'm going for.

Also, I bring the laptop to client sites now and then for shoots. Would it be a good idea to calibrate the monitor every time I go to a new client's place (like one may have tungsten and another may have fourescent lighting), or is that not necessary?

Thanks
