Based on what you already have - I agree - get a good flash

Your current lenses should be adequate for what you'll be shooting. Only get another lens if you really want one for yourself.

If you don't want to spend money on a bracket, make a hand-made light sphere using some $6 opaque rubbery matting, cut into a long strip about 6 inches wide, and wrap it around the top half of your flash unit so that it sticks out above the flash in a kind of cone, then put a rubber band around it to hold it in place. That's what I used. Works great.
