baby luke pic's.

Quick update & recap. Two week ago they operated on Luke to install a central pic line. The regular pic lines, which is inserted in his veins, always got inflamed after about two days of being in. That’s when they decided to install a central line directly into to his main artery. Since then, he just took off. Now he is off the ventilator, feeding well and is only on 20% oxygen. Now they are talking about placing him in his own crib. No more incubators. Yesterday, the 27th, he had surgery to repair two hernias and remove the central pic line. The line is no longer needed.

The surgery went great, but after two hours in recover they gave him pain medication. He had a reaction to it were every time he fell a sleep his heart rate and breathing rate would drop. They had to use a pump bag on him several times to help him breath. They try to keep him a wake, but he was to drug and wanted to sleep. So they reverse the medication with another medication and 15 minutes later he was back to normal. Now they are giving him Tylenol for pain. He looking great and hopefully he will be home before October.

Here’s a few pic’s from the past two weeks.

Why do you have to 'put your two cents in'.. but it's only a 'penny for your thoughts'? Where's that extra penny going to?
