Looks like Canon's goose is cooked

D300 - $1800 list. How about that?

About the only saving grace for Canon could ge the high possibility of looooooong and slow deliveries on the Nikons due to their immense popularity. We saw this to some extent on the D200 and D2X and, to a large extent on their 18-200 VR lens. They seem to underestimate their market size.

On the other hand, I doubt too many of those individuals with a heavy investment in Canon glass will change. In the end, it's still the photographer that makes the picture.
