According to Phil's preview the 40D (and the 1Ds III as well) have "tilt correction". Sounds interesting to soeone who has to rotate 25% of the shots in portrait orientation when I've been in a hurry and not paid enough attention. (And in no systematic fashion, either. Could be clockwise or counterclockwise depends on day-to-day shape...)
Anyway, does anyone know how this is supposed to work? Is there a level sensor, or is it entirely software managed and is based on horizon analysis?
