Thanks guys for the recharging off the van battery. I think I'm fine with the extra batteries I have and just keeping them charged every possible moment at the lodges. That's what I've done before, but we have some different lodges this time and I have no idea re: electircity situation. I think I'll try both of your suggestions of leaving auto off set for 15-30 minutes to see how it works for a day. Now that I think of it, the 20D has no problem with leaving it on all the time ?? I wonder if there is any correlation between the 10D and 20D and battery life when the camera is active all the time ? This might be an interesting experiment, ....
