Knock-Off Artists - China

The referenced newspaper story, from the Shanghai Daily, depicts Chinas tolerance for, and the mass production of IP (Intellectual Property) which is not all that surprising considering the vast proliferation of copied goods, made in China.

The problem I see is the growing tolerance of copying for profit. In the included link, you will find a story wherein this issue is discussed, recognized to be in conflict with copyright laws, but pacified by those that want the works, or profit by them. Quote from article:”In theory, there are copyright issues in copying, but in reality nobody here has any problems.”

The reality is, people who own the “rights” to these works of art, and or any “property” are being stolen from and this is not “theory” as some (the profiteers) would have us believe.

This is not meant as China-bashing, but if a problem is to be solved, you need to go to its source.
