Triggering studio flash with a d40x
Jul 27, 2007

I have a Nikon D40x and I want to use it with studio flash (Bowens 400 monoflash and Bowens Quadmatic 1.5 K). These are both quite old units. I am told that unless they conform to the modern ISO standard for triggering they may damage the D40x. I have no way of knowing if they are compatible. Does anyone know? OR is there a way of triggering the units remotely? Minolta did produce the “PCT-100 PC flash adaptor” for their cameras - but does this work with Nikons? Any one who does have a technique for using studio flash with modern digital cameras please respond. This thread is also posted elsewhere.
