D1X or a D200?

I was curious if this is a fair comparison. I ask because I am considering the purchase of either one, but didn't have any first hand experience with the D1x. I know that the battery life is less optimal than the D200, but what I'd like to know if there's a substantial difference with the picture quality of the two camera bodies.

Specifically, whether the JPG or NEF files are substantially different to justify one over the other. I know the D200 can do the CLS and the D1X cannot...but both can use the SB800/SB600 flashes. Differences like 10 megapixels vs 6 megapixels are not that interesting to me, as I've been able to print 30x20 inch posters with my D50's 6 megapixel sensor.

Can anyone help me with all this?
