Monitor calibrating..which?

Hi Guys,

I have a Spyder2 and Dell ultrasharp monitors. I keep the monitor calibrated and still can't seem to match up with prints. The skin tones are relatively close but often the pictures are dark compared to the monitor. Do I need a newer calibrating device? I do the Costco Dry Creek profiles and use Mpix, it is the same for both. What device do your prefer??
