Palm-tree killer

I am furious, that "nice" guy, well its caterpillar killed my nicest palm-tree, an 18 years old Trachycarpus Fortunei. This new pest, Paysandisia Archon is the name, is invading now the south mediteranean area of France and no real cure yet to eliminate it other than cut the trees and burn them to avoid propagation. It's been imported from Argentina.
Curse you Red Baron !
