Current Survey: RAW conversion software

For a fresh survey, please tell me your favorite way to convert Canon RAW images into CS2 or CS3.

In particular, I'm trying to SIMPLIFY and SPEED my workflow with modern utilities, tips, tricks and techniques for organizing.

Photoshop? Lightroom? DPP?

Suggestions for both SOFTWARE and SPEED HACKS are greatly appreciated.
