Does Nikon repair always take this long?

I've sent them my 17-55 and they've returned it within a week saying there's nothing wrong with it and suggesting that I send in the camera. So I did send them the camera, along with the lens just to make sure. It spent 3.5 weeks there already and it still shows up as "In Shop" in their online status tracking system. So I kind of begin to wonder if there's a way to speed up the process.

On the other hand I've been doing some film shooting with my F100, and I liked the first few rolls so much I bought 15 more rolls of film. It's fun. Portra 160VC is great.
