Are there different speed 2GB SD cards in the same brand such as
SanDisk? The reason I ask is that different stores have a wide
margin of price on the identical 'looking' Sandisk cards. Also,
can I download the images off of a card, and if so and I keep
reusing the same card for photos/video, will the card eventually
loose quality to the pics/video I am taking? Thanks, DK.

Sandisk labeled their different SD cards differently and with different colors too. As mentioned, there are imitations around and these usually comes in sealed clear plastic packaging with cheap looking seals too. The original usually comes in a box with a genuine holographic seal on it.

Trust me, I've seen a fake one before.

If in doubt, call Sandisk to find out how they package their products and you'll be more assured.

BTW, there are fake Sony Memory Pro cards too, targetted at Sony buyers for their PSP and cameras.
