H9: sports mode locked to 1/60s?

H9: sports mode locked to 1/60s?

I don't really get the sports mode of the H9. What's the point of having a sports mode which locks the shutter to 1/60s. That's totally NOT usable for freezing action or basicly any movement at all, besides moving snales.
