Sony lens prices will come down...eventually.

I think it is safe to say the price of Sony lenses will come down in a few years. The reason is simple: In a few years, new Sony lenses will be competing with used Sony lenses in the marketplace and guess what, the used lenses will be less expensive. It's all about supply and demand. Right now Sony's only competition are the old Minolta lenses, many of which where cheaply made (more recently), or not a useable range for the APS-C sensor. In the old days, camera shops controlled the prices of used market lenses because they were the main buyers for your used lenses. They bought your lens for almost nothing and sold it for much more. Now with e-Bay and other type direct sell-buy outlets that control is gone. I know of 2 camera shops in my city that used to sell used lenses that no longer do so, "because the profit margin isn't there anymore". Prices will come down...it's only a matter of time!
