If you are one of the guys who hate loose dingling cables and other bulky equipment dangling off your camera, here is a simple solution:

  • it works with every camera.

  • it works with your phone

  • it works great with google earth etc.

  • it even has bluetooth

Here it is:

Charge it at night and put it in your daypack, forget it for the rest of the day. I have just returned from 1 week holiday and used the GPS every day. 1 week of practical use gives about 100Mb of data. Do your own math and calculate how many weeks you can store on 2GB SD card!

16 hrs of battery life and you can even get a battery-> USB-power converter and probably use the GPS for many days in a row without recharging.

Sync your pictures with the GPS data later. There are severay programs which can do that. Works great!
