F31fd ~ LCD screen durability

Hi

I'm from the Sony camp, but I've been very interested in purchasing a low light compact camera with very usable higher ISOs, hence the F31fd.

While I can live with the absence of an OVF, the only thing holding me back against buying this great camera is the lack of protection afforded to the LCD. When you press the LCD lightly with your finger you can see the liquid move. Some other compacts, just like with most DSLRs, have a protective shell over their rear LCDs.

Just wondering if this is an issue with you guys, and if anyone has had their F31fd/F30/F20 or F10 LCD puncture/break due to lack of the hard shell protection.

Many thanks
