Is now a good time to upgrade to a A100? And upgrade advice

There might be new cameras on the horizon, but the A100 is very reasonably priced now.

I am thinking of just upgrading my KM5D with a A100 body.
I am guessing any new camera is going to cost much more when introduced.

If I do, how am I for upgradability?

Lenses. Do I presume if all these work with my KM5d they will work with the A100?
18-70 KM kit
50mm Minolta F1.7
70-210 beercan
135-400mm Sigma (older one)

What about flash? Will my KM 3600 work OK? Does the wireless function work the same? I use that a LOT.

Finally, what about my remote control cable. Does that work on the A100?
