Random Dead Battery! HELP!

20D... It will show full power and I've fully charged the battery and then after shooting 2 frames it shows a dead battery. Sometimes removing the battery and putting it back in fixes it and it starts working again. Sometimes I have to tap the battery, sometimes the body.
I've missed MANY good action shots this winter because of it.
What is going on? Is the battery screwed up? Or do I have to send the camera to Canon?
