Models and Photo Discs

I have just started using websites such as Model Mayhem to find models for practice shoots. I have noticed that many models are requesting a CD before they leave the shoot. While I understand that many of them have obviously been stiffed by shifty photographers, why should I allow someone to have my unfinished work?

Please share how you handle trades for CD.
