Sell my D80 and buy a D40x ?????

I'm thinking selling my D80 and buying a D40x.

Mainly for the compact size and llightness of the D40x ...

From what I can see the main technical difference is the focus areas (3 insead of 11); the smaller viewfinder with lack of grids; no DOF preview; poorer battery llife ...All of which I could live without ....

Has anyone a list of major differences between the D40x/D80?

Am I mad to think of changing?!
