S5 vs D200 Usability Quirk
Mar 22, 2007

Having used the D200 for quite some time, I'm used to one feature which is nice and I seem to be missing on the S5.

When shooting and the preview of the image comes up, on the D200, I can go to the previous preview by just toggling left on the multi-selector. On the S5, you can't do that. So if you want to compare the current preview to the previous, you have to press the play button once to shut off the preview (or depress the shutter partly), and then press play again, and then press left on the multi-selector. I know it's not a big deal and could be addressed with a firmware update.

I guess if this is the only issue I have, then the camera is doing real well...

Incidently, here are a couple shots from the studio the other evening. I'm very pleased with the results so far.

These were taken with the Nikon 85 f/1.4 lens and shot in RAW. I'm very happy with the camera.
