Visible Dust Brush Quality?
Mar 17, 2007

I just recieved the SD800 Pro kit direct from the company. I was surprised to see the large amount of dust and dirt in the packaging box due to the packing peanuts-- hardly fits with the product image.
Worse yet, all of the brushes have the poorest quality in terms of the shape when they are cut with choppy-looking tips (long/short/angled) and flared edges with some attempt to trim the large amount of stray fibers but that worsened the final shape of them. After spinning them, you can't run the tip across a planar surface as intended and would have to use them like a broom to sweep the sensor with the sides of the bristles, not the tips.
To me it looks like poor quaity control or possibly alternate production to save cost but wow, the product is suffering badly.
Has anyone else experienced this recently?
