L1 Lens Repair: Panasonic hasn't a clue.

Service warning! Maybe Panasonic doesn't belong in the DSLR busniess afterall.

My L1 kit lens has frozen. I went to the Panasonic website and they had no record of the model number in the service page. I then called the 800 number who instructed me to send the lens to BIGSTONG DIGITAL SERVICES in Ill. So I sent it, insured. They promtly sent it back with a hand scribbled note saying, "we don't repair".

I then emailed Panasonic describing my predictiment and recieved no response.

I then called and after refusing to type anything in on the keyboard, was trasferred to a live person who had not heard of the camera. He instructed me to send it to BIGSTONE. After I recounted my tale, he put me on hold and then said "call this number, they repair this camera". The number was for the PANASONIC DIGITAL CENTER, also in Ill. No one has answered at the number for three days! I have left countless messages, but no return call.

Anyone want to buy my garbage L1 and lens?
