What's wrong with f/4?

I don't recall seeing the ISO range for the DP-1 (I know I'll be corrected if I'm wrong). In-camera noise-reduction might be be very good and provide usable ISOs up to 1600. If so, f/4 should be just fine. Higher sensor sensitivity is probably a better solution anyway than higher speed lenses unless you need a faster lens for focusing (an old DSLR problem).

One of my favorite lenses is an f/3.5-f/4.5 zoom. I honestly haven't ever thought that it wasn't fast enough.
