Traditional incandescent filament type light bulbs are to be phased out within two years in Britain.

I an concerned that the quality and spectrum of light from the replacement fluorescent types (low-energy bulbs) will not be suitable for photography, or at least could cause problems with white balance. I'm not sure what impact these proposals will have on non-domestic lighting, such as halogen types used in powerful lamps.
