Best type of Novoflex focus rails?

I'm looking at the NovoFlex focus rails at B&H...both the Cross-Q and Cross-MC are the same price. Besides a difference in x and y movement lengths...what is the difference between them and advantages? I'm going to be using this on an 400D with a 100mm 2.8.
