70-300VR sharpness

I've read I think almost all the reviews, forums about that lens. I can see nice MTF graphs under 200mm, and pictures, but I havent seen a convincingly sharp photo yet.
Could you help me?

(Other hand, if I wouldn't be happy about the sharpness, I will forget the tele-zoom and I will buy a sigma150/2.8)
