Sharpening

I have seen but never tried Focal Blade Sharpening. I use Elements 3.x and Fred Miranda's Intellisharpen II, which is an action and lives in File / Automate. In other words, it uses tools already built into Elements rather than adding new tools.

Does anyone have an experiencce with Focal Blade Sharpening? Is it too an action or is a filter, adding a different tool from unsharp masking to do sharpening?

Is Focal Blade Sharpening better than either plain Elements' USM or Elements' USM as managed by Fred Miranda's Intellisharpen II?

Is PowerRetiouche's sharpening good? Better than Fred Miranda's Intellisharpen II? Than Focal Blade? Than Elements' USM?
