What Panasonic should do now?
Jan 29, 2007

It seems that with FZ30/50 Panasonic has reached the highest point in bridge cameras. They have put in almost everything in these cameras as far as current technology will let them. I know, the sensor can be improved and few other minor improvements can still be made. My question is should Panasonic do something more radical with these cameras in addition to making small evolutionary changes?

How about FZs with interchangeable lens? I don't know if that can be done without making the camera bigger which none of us would want to see. If Pana can keep the current lens set up as standard and add a dedicated Tele(say 700mm), a Wide(say 24mm) and a Macro, wouldn't that be great? Think about all these lenses as superb quality Leica lenses. What do you think?
