reposted - I am sure some here have been to angkor wat
Folks,
A 5 day holiday at siem reap is on my horizon. I have a 18-200 VR, nikon 12-24 , a 50 1.D and a tripod. I hope to make it to Angkor Thom, Banteay Srei and Ta Prohm (of Tomb Raider fame sadly) too.
Could anyone give me general tips on how to take reasonable photos there, especially those who have been there ? Is afternoon a bad time for shots ? - I expect harsh sunlight.
I am particularly keen on getting some HDRs of a sunset over the grand entrance to Angkor Wat, though shots in front of the reflection pool might be clichéd.
Any ideas for creative shots too ? I suppose everyone has seen the tree growing out of the ancient temples..
Apologies for breathless excitement.
