20D Flash or Shutter Problem
Jan 6, 2007

So I'm shooting your typical Christmas and post-holiday pictures with my 20D and the external Speedlite. Set to P mode.

All is well, except on one shot the shutter seems to "stick", that is, there is half a click, a sticking feeling, then half another click. Then the next shots are OK, and it happens all over again.

Those shots where the shutter "stuck" turned out as if the flash fired out of synch.

I took some more pictures tonight, and it did it again with a different lens. Almost feels like the shutter reverted to a real slow speed.

Never any problems with the camera without the flash on, and, based upon my inexperience here, you can tell that there is not a whole lot of mileage on the shutter itself.

Any thoughts?
