CF card sin committed on Mac. Help
Jan 29, 2002

I run a MAC G3powerbook / OS9.1 / Nikon Coolpix995 / SanDisk 256mb Compactflash card in a PCMCIA adaptor slot.

OK, so now I have it clear to never remove the card without trashing it from the desktop first. It was an accident. I believe I may have damaged the boot sector.

Now the card cannot be read or mounted on a Mac (or IBM) , it just keeps giving an Error message: This Disk is unrecognisable, do you want to initialise it ?

Rather than reformat and lose all the images I have been searching for any programs or tools that may help before I try expensive data recovery companies.

I have tried the card in a Digital Album, Coolpix995, PowerBook G3, IBM with a card reader and Scandisk and in a Mac running OSX with Nortons 6.0.2 but none see it or they want to reformat it.
Are there any ideas, please
Greg C
