MY superdrive stop burning DVD's?

I have a Dual 2.0 G5 powermac.. with superdrive:
SONY DVD RW DW-U21A
About a week ago it stop burning DVD's?
It will read dvd's and burn Cd's no problem. but will not burn DVD's anymore..
Anybody know if there is a fix? I have tried several DVD brands that work before and they are no longer working...?
I get an error -50 with toast and also it will not burn through the finder?
It says caching and then It goes to writing "lead-out" and then fails.. it never actually burns...
Anybody that can point me to any help would be great...
