Stay clear of the cheapos
In reply to JeanMarie GERARD, Sep 24, 2006

I've been tempted for a long time to go down the CIS route for my R1800 after a long time using compatibles, and yes, I did even consider one of these cheapos. I was advised against it and, even though I couldn't really afford it, I took the plung and bought the Lyson CIS whilst it was on a special offer. Ok, it cost me £300, a little ink to set up right, but was worth it! I now users papers which even Epson inks were lousy with and get some of the most stunning prints I have never dared to think i could produce. I can also produce satin finish A3+ prints which customers spend a lot of money for, and have complete control over. Bottom line - it's worth it to pay a little extra for a quality product that comes with a good reputation.
