Quality of iMac 24" screen

Over on the PC talk forum, I'm trying to build a photoshop ferrari PC on a hyundai budget. A couple of people suggested i look at the new 24" iMac instead. The idea is appealing, but i'm wondering about the quality of the monitor. I've done some surfing and see that the 24" is brighter than its smaller siblings. Is anything else known about it?
