Well, maybe. Trying to convince the "boss" that I need a new computer. Tell me what you think. I know I could go for higher specs in all categories but I dont need a super duper, bleeding edge of technology machine. Just a speedy desktop for PS CS2 and Illustrator.

Processor

Intel Core 2 Duo E6300 - 1.86GHz (overclocks to 2.7 easily I've read)

MoBo

Asus P5B Socket T (LGA 775) Intel P965 Express ATX

RAM

Corsair XMS2 2GB (2x1GB) DDR2 800

Sound Card (review say ASUS mobo sound aint grand)

Creative Sound Blaster Audigy SE 7.1 Channels PCI

GPU

MSI RX1300Pro - TD256E Radeon X1300Pro 256MB DDR2 PCI Express

Primary HDD

Seagate Barracuda SATA 120GB 7200RPM

Secondary HDD

Western Digital Caviar 300 GB SATA (already own in external enclosure)

Opical Drives

2 x Samsung 16X DVD-R w/ LightScribe (black)

Case

Rosewill TU-155 Black Mid-Tower ATX w/ 400W psu

Input Devices

Microsoft Comfot Curve 2000 B2L-00047 (black)
Logitech LX7 Blue Optical Mouse 931395-0403

OS

WinXP Home w/ SP2 (Can I run PS CS2 in Unbutu using WINE?)

Total from Newegg.com = $916 (including shipping)

Display

Dell 2007FPW - Supposedly the banding issue has been fixed?

Total from Dell = $400 (tax in WA - GRRR!!!)

Ok, well thats it I guess. Please let me know what you think. Any serious flaw in my components? If you have suggestions on anything else I might add, feel free to comment. Remember I dont have an unlimited budget tho.
