Is an iMac good enough?

Hi

I am about to get a new Mac. My trusty ibook (G3 600) has seen better days.

I am almost fixed on getting a 20"iMac intel dual core 2ghz with 2GB RAM and 256mb Video card, 250 hard drive.
I will also buy an external 250gb hard drive for back up.

I'll be using it for processing RAW files from a Nikon D200, with Aperture and PS CS2.

Will this machine be good enough for daily work with photographs? (I am concerned about the RAM limit mostly) I suspect that it should be fine. But before I buy it I'd like some feedback from all the Mac users here.

I don't want to be feeling like I need a new machine in 18 months time !!! (If it serves me for 4 years I'll be happy).

Much thanks
